Pet Care Professionals’ Course – Taking Care of Business

The 1 day, comprehensive course is just £100 per person, with follow-up support. Discounts are given if more than one delegate is booked and paid for.

This course is suitable for dog walkers, pet sitters, pet boarders, pet hotels and those working with animals in their own home or in the pet owner's home.

 

 

Course Outline

Setting-up Your Pet Care Business –  Topics include: qualifications to consider; previous experience in your area; what should you know/learn

Pet Care Business Essentials -  Topics include: legislation; regulations; controls, disclosures and checks; insurance requirements; professional certification; local authority requirements; business terms and conditions; health and safety

Business Basics – Topics include: pricing & payments; tax; marketing and business development; supplies and equipment; trade associations

Pet Care Paperwork – Topics include:  registration; healthcare; accident logs; invoices; rate card, policies and procedures; booking records. Delegates are given over 30 templates on the day to take away and use in their own businesses.
